Statistics Department Conference

June 11, 2009
8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Iowa State University GO Workshop: Functional and Systems Modeling of High-throughput Data

Morning session: Ensminger Room, 1204 Kildee Hall

Afternoon session: Computer labs in Kildee, locations to be assigned in morning session

The goal of this one-day workshop is to demonstrate functional modeling of large datasets (such as microarray and other functional genomics datasets) using GO-based tools and network analysis

Workshop presented by experts from AgBase: http://www.agbase.msstate.edu/ “AgBase is a curated, open-source, Web-accessible resource for functional analysis of agricultural plant and animal gene products. Our long-term goal is to serve the needs of the agricultural research communities by facilitating post-genome biology for agriculture researchers and for those researchers primarily using agricultural species as biomedical models.”

If there are specific topics or questions you wish to have covered, please contact Fiona McCarthy(fmccarthy@cvm.msstate.edu), workshop instructor or Sue Lamont (sjlamont@iastate.edu), local host.
