GDCB IT Support

Check here often for answers to common questions that you may have. For example - What software is available? If there is information that you think should be added, please let us know.

To request assistance with a problem, or for new computer setup, please submit a ticket. Submitting a ticket is the fastest was to get help. We are immediately notified when tickets are submitted.

How to Request Help

  • Having a problem getting email or access to Blackboard or some other ISU supported service? Please check the ITS Critical Events Log to see if there is an issue with a service.
  • Send an email to with a brief description of your problem. This email will automatically submit your problem into CyTech where it will be responded to by GDCB IT staff.
  • Alternatively, you can submit tickets into CyTech from the web. Login with your ISU Net-ID and password. Then click on 'Report an Incident'. Fill out the form with a description of your problem and select LAS GDCB Team as the team.
  • Visit the GDCB IT office. The calendar below will give you an idea of when we are available. The GDCB IT Office is in 526 Science II.
  • For emergencies call 294-6369 or stop by 526 Science II.

  • Assistance in purchasing computers, printers, scanners, technical instructional equipment
  • Setup new computers (Mac, Windows, Linux)
  • Setup new printers,scanners, networking (Wifi)
  • Web and video conferencing
  • File storage and backups (more info soon)

Calendars

    The calendar below shows a schedule for GDCB IT support. Student workers' availability is shown in red. Student workers will be available to assist with problems during those times they are scheduled.

    Alternatively, the staff IT entries shown in green, describe times when they are not available.

    Please use the calendar as a guide to know when IT workers are available to assist you.


Support for Personal Computers

    Problems with personally owned equipment by faculty, staff, or students should contact the ISU Solution Center in most cases. GDCB IT does not have enough resources to assist with personal computer questions. Depending on circumstances, we might be able to refer you to other sources or offer some very basic assistance.
