2015 Awards Luncheon
GDCB Recognition Luncheon was

GDCB held its 8th annual GDCB Recognition Luncheon in the Molecular Biology Building Atrium on Thursday, April 30, 2015.  This event is to recognize the achievements over the last year of the faculty, students and staff associated with GDCB.

In attendance this year were Mr. Melvin Larsen, husband of the late Dr. Darlene Larsen.  The Darlene and Melvin Larsen Scholarship to award academic achievement is named in their honor.  Mr. Larsen was accompanied by his granddaughter, Nicole Friesema, an ISU undergraduate student majoring in advertising.

New this year were the GDCB Departmental Awards to recognize those affiliated with GDCB who have done something special or out of the ordinary during the year to contribute to the well being, vision and mission of GDCB and ISU.  In addition, this year graduate students who were awarded support for travel to a scientific meeting displayed the posters they presented at the meetings they attended.
