New Frontiers in Plant Hormone Research is the theme of the 2019 Walter and Helen Parke Loomis Symposium, which will be held in the Great Hall, Memorial Union, on Monday, May 6, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Loomis Lecturer for the event is Dr. Keiko Torri from the University of Washington/HHMI. Her presentation will be "Harnessing synthetic chemistry to understand and manipulate plant development." Minisymposium speakers are Dr. Joseph Kieber from the University of North Carolina; Dr. Stacey Harmer from the University of California, Davis; and Dr. Jose Alonso from North Carolina State University.
