Registration is now open for the Ninth Annual Neuroscience Research Day. The event will be held on the Central Campus of Iowa State University on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Keynote speakers for the event are Dr. Gary Wenk, Ph.D., and Dr. Ruth Barrientos, Ph.D.
Wenk will present "Reducing Age-Related Brain Inflammation with Food and Drugs." He is a professor of psychology, neuroscience and molecular virology, immunobiology and medical genetics at the Ohio State University and Medical Center.
Barrientos will present "Aging: A Key Vulnerability Factor for Neuroinflammation and Cognitive Declines. She is an assistant professor of psychology and neuroscience at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
