Genetics, development and cell biology alumna Majd Abdulghani made history when she was recently selected as the first Rhodes Scholar from Saudi Arabia. She will join the 2019 cohort of 100 scholars. Abdulghani graduated from Iowa State University in summer 2018 with a master of science degree. Her major professor at ISU was GDCB Assistant Professor Geetu Tuteja.
