Maira Pedroso Almeida, an Iowa State University Ph.D. genetics and genomics graduate student, was featured in a "Visitor of the Week" news article on the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory web page. Almeida is working on her Ph.D. in the Department of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology labs of Dr. Maura McGrail and Dr. Jeff Essner.

Almeida attended the "Genome Engineering: Frontiers of CRISPR/Cas" at CSHL and presented a poster on "Short homology based CRISPR/Cas9 targeted integration for Cre/lox conditional gene inactivation tools in zebrafish.”
