Bassham named fellow in ASPB

Diane Bassham, Walter E. and Helen Parke Loomis Professor of Plant PhysiologyDiane Bassham, genetics, development and cell biology professor and Walter E. and Helen Parke Loomis Professor of Plant Physiology, was named a Fellow of the American Society of Plant Biologists in 2020.

In a letter to Bassham, ASPB President Judy Callis said, “It is my great personal pleasure to welcome you as a Fellow of the American Society of Plant Biologists - congratulations! Thank you for all you do for ASPB.”

According to the ASPB website, “Established in 2007, the Fellow of ASPB award may be granted in recognition of distinguished and long-term contributions to plant biology and service to the Society by current members in areas that include research, education, mentoring, outreach, and professional and public service. Current members of ASPB who have contributed to the Society for at least 10 years are eligible for nomination.”
