As one of the highest recognitions of scholarly service, GDCB and Statistics Professor Karin Dorman has been named the inaugural holder of the Dale D. Grosvenor Chair in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.  This recognition is in appreciation of Dr. Dorman’s scholarly record as one of ISU’s premier biostatisticians, her leadership of the BCB graduate program, and her engagement on behalf of the next generation, especially young women in STEM.  Dr. Dorman also directs the BCBio undergraduate program. The three-year term and endowment as Grosvenor Chair began on January 1, 2016.

The chair was established through the generosity of the late Dr. Dale D. Grosvenor, a former ISU faculty member who received a Ph.D. in Statistics from ISU and served as a faculty member in the Department of Statistics, the ISU Computation Center, and the Department of Computer Science.
