GDCB Leadership in Interdepartmental Graduate Programs
August 25, 2015

GDCB faculty continue to participate in and have a leadership role in several excellent interdepartmental graduate programs:
- Professor Karin Dorman, of both GDCB and Statistics. has stepped down as Chair of the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BCB) graduate program, and Carolyn Lawrence Dill of GDCB has been elected to serve as Associate Chair of BCB effective August.
- Professor Jeff Essner and Professor Tom Peterson will continue their two-year terms as Chair and Associate Chair of the Genetics and Genomics graduate program.
- Professor Clark Coffman (not pictured) is in his final year as the Chair of the Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB) graduate program.
- Professor Yanhai Yin has stepped down as Chair of the Plant Biology graduate program, and Professor Diane Bassham is beginning her term as Chair of the program.
The interdisciplinary nature of these graduate programs and the research of GDCB faculty provide students with a high-quality of training, giving them skills that will be important for the next stage of their careers, whether in academia or industry.
