Staci Solin, an MCDB graduate student in Professor Maura McGrail’s lab, research studies on the molecular and cellular characterization of a zebrafish mutant that develops tumors in the optic pathway was published in the December 2014 online issue of PLOS One.

In addition, an image of a mutant zebrafish larva as seen under fluorescence microscopy from her research studies was used as the BPoD Biomedical Picture of the Day for January 5, 2015.
