GDCB scientists search zebrafish genome to promote human health

Three Department of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology scientists and their research team are working on further developing innovative technology, which allows them to scour the genome of zebrafish for genes that might lead to advances in human health. GDCB Professor Jeff Essner, Assistant Professor Maura McGrail, University Professor Drena Dobbs and their research team are supported on the project by a $2.98 million grant from the National Institutes of Health.
