GDCB alumnus part of team that receives OVPR bioscience seed grant to further canine cancer research

Wesley Wierson, a genetics, development and cell biology alumnus, and Margaret Musser, assistant professor of veterinary clinical services, received a $34,000 Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics Industry Partnership Seed Grant to study novel treatment options for currently incurable cancers in dogs.

Wierson received his Ph.D. in molecular, cellular and developmental biology in fall 2018.
