Four Department of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology (GDCB) faculty members, Jelena Kraft, Carly Manz, Maura McGrail and Geetu Tuteja, received promotions in 2024-25. 

The Iowa Board of Regents approved tenure and faculty promotion requests for the 2024-25 academic year in April. Iowa State's list included 122 faculty who received promotions, including tenure, this spring.

Two GDCB faculty received promotions from associate professor to professor: Maura McGrail and Geetu Tuteja. 

Two GDCB term faculty received promotions in 2024. Kraft advanced to associate teaching professor, while Manz advanced to teaching professor.
