3 GDCB faculty receive university awards: Manz, Tuteja and Yin

University leaders shared the names of 68 Iowa State faculty and staff — 61 individuals and two teams —who are receiving a 2026 university award, the highest recognitions available to employees. Among the award recipients are three genetics, development and cell biology (GDCB) faculty — GDCB Professor Geetu Tuteja, Regents Award for Faculty Excellence; GDCB Teaching Professor Carly Manz, Award for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching; and GDCB Chair and Professor Yanhai Yin, Award for Departmental Leadership. 

All award recipients will be honored at a community celebration this fall, as per the Inside Iowa State article, "Congratulations, university award recipients."
