Manz named interim director of Biology and Genetics Undergraduate Programs

Carly Manz, interim director of the interdepartmental Biology and Genetics ProgramsEffective June 1, Carly Manz of the Department of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology (GDCB) accepted the role of interim director of the interdepartmental Biology and Genetics Programs for a three-year period. College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean Benjamin C. Withers and College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Acting Dean Ruth MacDonald announced the appointment in June in collaboration with GDCB Chair Yanhai Yin and Department of Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology (EEOB) Chair Amy Burgin. 

Manz is the associate chair for teaching and a teaching professor in GDCB. 

Withers and MacDonald also announced that Corinna Most will serve as interim associate director of the programs. Most is an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology.

Manz and Most are assuming these roles as the current director and Morrill Professor Don Sakaguchi retires on June 30.
