Ella McGrath, an undergraduate student for the past three years in the lab of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology Associate Professor Dior Kelley, received a 2026 Fulbright Internship.
In the Kelley lab, McGrath worked on the characterization of auxin response factor genes in maize roots. She earned the American Society of Plant Biologists Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship. She also earned third place among undergraduates for her poster presentation at the 2026 College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Research Day.
McGrath is a third‑year horticulture and global resource systems student. Through her Fulbright Internship, she was awarded a Mitacs Globalink Research Internship.
