Thesis seminars are offered every semester to clarify Iowa State University's publishing requirements, graduation deadlines, submission procedures and common problems for graduate theses and dissertations. It is helpful to attend a Thesis Seminar when you first start working on your thesis or dissertation, the semester before you graduate, or in the semester you are graduating (if you have not yet attended). The thesis seminar will cover deadlines, formatting guidelines and other helpful hints for working on your thesis/dissertation.
Wed, Sept. 27, 2017, 4:10 – 5:00 p.m., 0124 Ross Hall, Registration link: https://pd.grad-college.iastate.edu/event/view/384
New: The Graduate College and the Center for Communication Excellence (CCE) invite you to an “early formatting check” for your thesis or dissertation. As you start out writing your thesis/dissertation with the correct format, this will be a real time saver later in your program so that you can devote your time to content rather than formatting your thesis/dissertation! CCE writing consultants specialized in thesis/dissertation formatting are available for one-half hour appointments to assist you in starting your document to meet the submission requirements for the Graduate College.
